With the flagship in Kaduna and Kwara States, the POVAPPS project aims to simplify and amplify the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law in states to aid in ending Sexual and Gender-Based violence in Nigeria. We are innovatively building accessible Sexual Assault Referral Centers (SARCs), collecting stories of resilience and working with the ministry of education to feed the learning about SGBV prevention and support back into the wider Kwara school system through safe spaces clubs run by the students. Ford Foundation currently supports this project.
